McNett Named Vice President and General Counsel

Albuquerque, NM — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) has promoted Margaret (Margie) McNett to the position of Vice President and General Counsel New Mexico. She will be responsible for the operation of the New Mexico legal department, providing and coordinating the legal support for the New Mexico Division. She also serves as the lead of the Human Resources Legal Practice group for Health Care Service Corporation. She has been with the BCBSNM legal team since 2003.

Before joining BCBSNM, McNett was in-house counsel for Sun Healthcare Group, where she was responsible for all employment-related matters and litigation for the national nursing home company. Formerly she was in private practice with law firms in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, specializing in labor and employment law. She is currently licensed to practice in New Mexico and Colorado. McNett received her J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
