BCBSNM Adopts Families for the Holidays
Albuquerque, NM — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) employees delivered holiday gifts to Youth Development, Inc., (YDI) Head Start families on December 15 at the Mesa Verde Community Center in Albuquerque. Employee teams provided holiday help for 23 families in need from the Albuquerque, Embudo, and Taos Head Start programs. This is the seventh year that employees have donated gifts as part of the BCBSNM Adopt-a-Family program.
BCBSNM employee teams received wish lists from the children and their parents, which helped the teams provide meaningful gifts for each family member. Employees raised money with fund-raisers and personally bought gifts to fulfill the families’ wish lists. The highlight of the program was the gift delivery: Wrapped gifts were delivered by employee caravan to the community center, where the BCBSNM employees met many of the participating families.
