Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is pleased to offer a prenatal program with online access to valuable tools and information for moms-to-be and new mothers.
The Special Beginnings program is available to all BCBSNM members whose plans include maternity benefits. This prenatal program, administered by Matria® Healthcare, Inc.*, is designed to help you better understand and manage your pregnancy. Special Beginnings provides:
- free customized educational materials and support to meet your specific needs
- access to a 24-hour, toll-free BabyLine staffed by maternity nurses
- an online health information library
- a confidential questionnaire (health assessment) that provides valuable information for you and your health care provider
- case management for high-risk pregnancies
- e-mail newsletter sent every two weeks beginning in the 13th week of pregnancy
