BlueCare Dental Connection provides you with the tools and information you need to help make important decisions about your dental care. Members can access the online features of BlueCare Dental Connection by logging in to Blue Access® for Members.
When you visit the online Dental Wellness CenterTM, you can find information on dental topics including pediatric care, prevention, and specific dental treatments. In addition, you can:
- Ask licensed dentists dental-related questions through Ask A Dentist
- Locate a network general dentist or specialist with Provider Finder
- Determine approximate dental fees in the marketplace with the Dental Cost Advisor
Educational programs
BlueCare Dental Connection also includes the following programs:
- Decay Management Program – To prevent future decay, it's recommended that sealants be applied to children's teeth. This program provides parents with educational mailings about sealants and other proactive measures to help avoid more serious conditions.
- Periodontal Disease Management Program – Educational mailings about anti-gingivitis rinses and toothpastes and information about sonic-powered toothbrushes will be provided to members undergoing treatment.
As always, treatment decisions remain between members and their providers. Coverage for treatments varies depending on the member's benefit plan. Check with your group benefits administrator or contact Customer Service at the number on the back of your BCBSNM member ID card.
