With BCBSNM dental coverage:
- You can check the status of your dental claims and more by logging in to our secure member portal, Blue Access® for Members.
- You can visit dental providers in or out of our network.
- You can receive dental care from any licensed dentist (no referrals are necessary), however, receiving dental care from one of our in-network dentists provides significant savings and means less paperwork for you.
- If you use an in-network dental provider, you won't be billed for the difference between a participating dentist's usual fees and the benefit limits for covered services, and you won't have to file claims.
- If you prefer the flexibility to use an out-of-network dental provider, you will usually pay the full amount for services and file a claim form, and your out-of-pocket costs may be higher.
- You get access to the BlueCare Dental ConnectionSM program, which includes web tools and information such as Ask a Dentist, Provider Finder, Dental Cost Advisor, and the Dental Wellness Center.**
