Electronic Claim Filing
What is the fastest way to receive claim payment from an insurance
company? Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Now hospitals, physicians,
and other providers that submit 60 percent of their Blue Cross
and
Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) claims electronically for the
last 90 days can receive their payments via EFT. Learn
more about
Electronic Claim Filing.
THIN (The Health Information Network)
THIN, an
electronic claims clearinghouse and information network, is available
to all providers in the health care community. THIN allows physicians,
hospitals, and other health care providers to file patient claims
electronically to multiple health insurance payers and government
programs through one claims clearinghouse. In addition to claims
filing, providers can use the network to determine benefits and
eligibility, to receive electronic remittances, and to track the
progress of their claims. HealthXNet
HealthxNet is an internet-deployed software application, which
provides on-line access to member information from multiple New
Mexico health plans. Participating hospitals and physicians can
use HealthxNet to verify current information on patient eligibility,
claims status, and pre-authorization or referral status. Other
information, such as benefit summaries or prescription drug formularies,
is also available. BCBSNM and HMONM providers who are members of
HealthxNet can log
in to HealthxNet and view information.
