The Hospital Comparison Tool* lets you research and compare individual hospital outcome data for more than 100 specific diagnoses and procedures and hospital performance factors such as mortality, length-of-stay, complications, and how frequently a hospital performs specific procedures.
The Hospital Comparison Tool is based on data reported to state and federal government agencies and includes the Leapfrog Group's hospital survey results on patient safety measures (the Leapfrog Group is a consortium of more than 130 large companies that are encouraging more stringent patient safety).
We recommend that our members use the Hospital Comparison Tool and discuss the search results with their physician before making any treatment decisions. Also, please remember certain health plans require notification for hospitalization or prior authorization/approval for services.
