Claim Letters Get a New Look

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is continually working to improve the customer experience. We know that members – as well as health care providers – need information that is easy to understand. That's why we recently updated the format, tone and readability of many of our standard claim letters.

In addition to redesigning the letter format, the content was updated to provide a friendly, clear, concise message. The letters are written in plain language with clear direction or appropriate next steps that the reader can quickly understand. For our health care providers, the new letters will explain if we need additional information from you, helping to ensure that you get paid as quickly as possible. Members can even view their letters electronically on our secure member website, Blue Access for MembersSM.
