Beginning March 31, 2008, all claims submitted to BCBSNM must include only your NPI(s). If you're already approved to submit NPI-only claims, please do. This will allow you to work through any issues before the NPI-only phase begins.*
• Paper claims submitters – you should now be submitting NPI-only claims, as long as you have shared your NPI with BCBSNM.
• Providers who submit claims electronically – you should contact your vendor as soon as you receive a "Congratulations" postcard from us to ensure that your vendor is submitting NPI-only claims on your behalf.
If you are a contracted provider, you may contact your provider representative directly for assistance.
*NOTE: Claims that include the BCBSNM provider number will be rejected beginning March, 31, 2008, as NPI-only claims are required at this stage.
