Effective April 1, 2009, BCBSNM implemented a Site of Service Differential Fee Schedule. This differential applies for a set of professional services rendered within a facility setting. Reimbursement for office visits, diagnostic procedures, etc. furnished in a facility setting that are ordinarily furnished in a provider's office will be reimbursed at sixty percent (60%) of the State Medicaid Fee Schedule. BlueSalud will follow Medicare's principals in determining which procedures are subject to this payment methodology which is consistent with Medicaid regulations and policies.
