ROSWELL — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico, in collaboration with the Chaves County Health Council and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chaves & Lincoln Counties, is sponsoring a community health day on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Roswell. The event is no cost and open to everyone.
The community health day will feature no-cost screenings, community resource information and fun activities for the whole family. The morning of the event, the Roswell Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
“We invest in our communities to have an impact on the health and social challenges facing our state,” said Janice Torrez, BCBSNM president. “We’re proud to partner with community organizations to provide services in underserved areas of New Mexico.”
Screenings will be offered by the following community partners in the BCBSNM Care Van:
- Vdex Diabetes will provide glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, blood oxygen, pulse and A1C screenings.
- Best Buy Drugs will provide COVID-19 vaccines.
- PeopleWorks-NM will provide behavioral health screenings.
