Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico Hosts Upcoming Health Day in Santa Fe

Santa Fe, N.M. — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is sponsoring a Health Day on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Genoveva Chavez Community Center in Santa Fe. The event is open to everyone.

“This event will bring several services together for our community and our members,” said Janice Torrez, President of BCBSNM. “The screenings and health resource information will bring preventive care to meet the needs of families in their community.”

New Mexico Lions Operation KidSight will offer no-cost vision screenings inside the BCBSNM Care Van. The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center will offer educational walk-throughs of an inflatable colon and mobile museum, Wonder on Wheels, will be present with art, culture, history and science exhibits.

Fun activities, snacks and shaved ice will be available during the event.
