Who can join the New Mexico Medicaid program?
To qualify for Medicaid, you must:
- Live in New Mexico
- Meet certain income limits
- Be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
If you are a current Medicaid member, make sure you update your current information as needed. Go to yes.state.nm.us to update your information with the state.

When can I join the BCBSNM Turquoise Care Plan?
You need to be enrolled in New Mexico Medicaid before you can choose a health plan. You will be able to enroll in the BCBSNM Turquoise Care Plan on April 1, 2024. Coverage starts on July 1, 2024.
