ALBUQUERQUE — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBSNM) is accepting applications for its Healthy Kids, Healthy Families® (HKHF) grant initiative from July 1 through Aug. 15 for 2022 programming. BCBSNM encourages applications from nonprofit organizations with innovative programs that are working to improve the health and wellness of New Mexico’s children and their families.
“Through Healthy Kids, Healthy Families grants, we hope to work with dedicated community partners to make a difference for children and their families in communities across New Mexico,” said Janice Torrez, BCBSNM president. “Our goal is to educate New Mexico’s children and their families and inspire a generation of wellness by supporting programs that address the pressing health issues facing our state.”
Established in 2011, the HKHF grant initiative invests in nonprofit organizations that offer sustainable and measurable programs in the areas of nutrition, physical activity, disease prevention and management, and safe environments.
