Turquoise Care Providers Must Include Risk Level Entry in Critical Incident Reporting

May 23, 2025

The New Mexico Health Care Authority issued recent Critical Incident Reporting portal updates. These updates include new required fields for portal submissions.

What to know: Turquoise Care providers must enter a risk level for every CIR portal submission to ensure uninterrupted reporting and compliance. The portal will not accept submissions without this field completed.

Enter Risk Level 1 when you are uncertain of the appropriate risk level or don’t have the information needed to determine the level, such as personal care services hours. This means behavioral health providers who don’t have access to personal care services-related data, such as approved hours, should use Risk Level 1 as the default entry unless otherwise directed.

If you have a risk level question about a specific report, consult our critical incident reporting team or call 855-699-0042 before proceeding.
