PEAQSM Provider Performance Insights Reports Are Now Available

Provider Performance Insights reports for the Provider Efficiency, Appropriateness, & QualitySM program are ready for eligible New Mexico providers to access online. Reports are available only for providers who provided care to a minimum number of our members in the report time frame and practice in PEAQ specialties listed in the methodology.
PPI reports show how providers compare to their peers and highlight areas of focus for improving performance. Results from 2026 reports will influence online directory search results and be summarized on provider profiles in 2027.
What’s new this year: PEAQ’s Efficiency component now uses Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association data for measurement. With this change, primary care providers are evaluated on total fee-for-service costs and specialists on episode-based costs. Both approaches are based on a model that compares expected costs to actual costs.
Other updates include specialties measured, types of providers evaluated, methods for provider attribution and patient risk adjustment factors.
Accessing reports: Sign in to Availity® Essentials. In our Payer Spaces section on the Applications tab, select PEAQ Report. If you don’t yet have an Availity account, register here at no cost.
