Individual health plans have choices for you and your family1, such as your spouse or children under the age of 26. With your health plan you'll have:
Depending on your plan, you could also take advantage or mail-order prescriptions and access to health and wellness programs.
You may qualify for Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or other assistance based on your income. These health care coverage options are provided by the government. There’s no SEP, so you can apply at any time. You may also qualify for financial help.
You can enroll through beWellnm for an on-Exchange plan from November 1, 2021 - January 15, 2022. When you enroll through beWellnm you can see if you qualify for a subsidy that may help you lower your monthly bill. You can also sign up for an off-Exchange plan directly with a health insurance provider, from November 1 - December 15, 2021.
Note: Members of American Indian and Alaska Native tribes can apply for health care coverage any month of the year.
Learn what could be included in your health plan and network. You can find coverage whether you live in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, Farmington, Santa Fe or across New Mexico.
A network (also called group of doctors) is part of each plan. If you want to control costs, you’ll need to get care in your plan’s network. You may also be able to see a network provider by phone or video.
Your health plan will cover these essential health benefits and services: wellness, maternity, newborn/pediatric care, ambulance, emergency, hospitalization, labs, prescription drugs, disease management, mental health, substance abuse and rehabilitative devices.
Your health plan will offer prescription drug coverage. Based on your plan, once you've met your deductible, you will either pay a set amount (copayment) or a percentage (coinsurance) of your drug costs.
Health plans cover a range of preventive care services, like screenings, immunizations, wellness programs, and more. Getting this care in-network means you won't pay out-of-pocket costs.
Health insurance providers can't refuse to cover treatment for health problems you had before your new health plan starts.
Your health plan may help you and your family save on products and services that better your health, like fitness apparel or gym memberships.
