Things You Can Do Now

Here are some things you can do while you wait for your coverage to start.

Track Your Application

Follow your health plan application's progress. Also learn if you'll need to provide anything else. If you bought your plan through beWellnm, go to beWellnm to track your application.

If you bought your plan directly through BCBSNM log in to Application Tracker.

Make Your First Payment

If you bought your Individual and Family plan through beWellnm, go to beWellnm to pay your bill.

If you bought your Individual and Family plan directly through BCBSNM make your first premium payment.

Find a Doctor or Hospital

You can search for an in-network doctor and select a primary care provider (PCP). Find Care now

Look for Membership Materials

After you make a payment, we usually need a few days to process your application. Then, you should start receiving your Welcome Letter or Email and other materials like:

Member ID Card

If you chose a new plan during the Open Enrollment Period or Special Enrollment Period, you should get your new member ID cards once your payment is received and application is processed.

It has details like your policy number and our Customer Service phone number.

If you have a PPO health plan, you and any covered dependents will get member ID cards in your name only. If you have an HMO plan, any covered dependents will get an ID card with their name and yours.

Member Welcome Kit

Just like your member ID card, you should get your Member Kit after both your payment and application get processed.  

You'll get the specifics you need for your 2023 health care coverage, such as your Plan Benefit Book. Your book will include details on what’s covered with your plan.

Sign Up or Log In to Blue Access for MembersSM (BAMSM)

When you sign in to Blue Access for Members, you can securely manage your health plan online and review your claims. After using the details on your member ID card to sign up, you can:

  • View or request a replacement member ID card.
  • Tell us how you want to hear from us.  
  • Find in-network doctors and pharmacies. If your health plan has preferred pharmacies, you can pay lower copay or coinsurance amount for your prescriptions at these places.
  • Review your Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for helpful details that show what’s covered and what you may owe your provider.
