BCBSNM Member Services

If you have questions about your plan, we can help. To ask about what your plan covers, find a provider, change your PCP, and more, just call us.

  • Call us toll-free at 1-866-689-1523.

  • Members with hearing or speech loss can call the TTY/TDD line at 711.

  • Member Services is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday–Friday. If you call after hours, please leave a message. We will return your call the next business day.

BCBSNM Behavioral Health Services

The type of mental health service needed depends on the situation. A Care Coordinator can help members find out what services are covered. 

New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL)

NMCAL is available to New Mexicans during a mental health crisis. Use this state-wide toll-free phone line to access local help and resources. There are mental health professionals ready to help 24/7.

  • If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

Call this hotline if you are in distress and need help during a mental health crisis. You can speak with a trained crisis worker to get one-on-one support.

24/7 Nurseline

If you can’t reach your PCP and need answers to your health questions, call the Nurseline. A nurse is available any time to help members decide what to do for their health problems.

Non-Emergency Transportation Services

BCBSNM contracts with Modivcare™  for transportation services1.

Community Social Services

BCBSNM wants you to find community resources that can help keep you healthy and safe. We are the connectors between you and the many nonprofit organizations helping people in the community. Learn more.

Ombudsman Specialist

If you are unable to get a service you believe is covered by your Turquoise Care health plan, an ombudsman may be able to help. They address member issues without taking sides. Learn more.

Member Advisory Board (MAB)

MAB plays a key role in helping BCBSNM improve your Medicaid health plan. Learn more. 

Native American Advisory Board (NAAB)

NAAB is a team like the MAB. This group advised on issues related to Native Americans. Learn more.
