About Your Plan Coverage
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico wants to make sure you get the care you need. Our Turquoise Care plan members are covered for medical care such as doctor visits, lab tests, mental health care treatment, prescription drugs and much more. Find out more about the benefits we offer:
Medical Benefits
Your plan covers your physical health needs. From doctor visits to urgent and emergency care, BCBSNM is here for you.
Prescription Drugs
The Turquoise Care plan goes by a list of approved drugs that BCBSNM covers. This includes both brand and generic drugs.
Dental Care
Your plan provides dental care to help keep your teeth healthy. This includes dental exams and cleanings, fillings and more.
Vision Care
Turquoise Care members can get covered vision care. This includes routine eye exams, check-ups and eyeglasses.
Behavioral Health Care
Need help dealing with stress, grief, depression, substance abuse, or other conditions? Help is available.
Transportation
You can get no-cost rides to and from your doctor’s office or a medical facility. The rides are for non-emergencies only.
Long-Term Care and Community Benefit
Your plan covers long-term care. It also covers care at home through the Community Benefit for those who qualify. There are options for care.
Maternal and Infant Health Care
If you are pregnant or planning to have a baby, find out how to make the most of your benefits. You can get support before and after your baby is born.
Prior Authorization
Certain types of health care and drugs require approval before your plan will cover the costs. If BCBSNM does not approve them, then you may have to pay for them.
