Care Van® Program
Since 2006, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico's mobile health clinic has actively addressed health care needs across the state. In collaboration with community organizations and local health care providers, BCBSNM's two Care Vans provide no-cost health services, screenings, resources and education to New Mexicans right where they live and work, reducing long-term health care costs for individuals and families.
Care Van coordinators provide logistical support for the program, help secure providers who administer health services and screenings and drive the vans to communities across the state.
Many organizations, including the New Mexico Department of Health, Vdex Diabetes and the University of New Mexico, have utilized the Care Van to enhance outreach in underserved rural areas.
Collaborate With Us!
We invite you to collaborate with our Care Van program to offer basic medical and dental services and health education for people of all ages. BCBSNM does not offer direct health services; community organizations and health care providers arrange for licensed providers to deliver these services in our Care Vans.
