Renew Your Medicaid Coverage

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico knows your health is important to you. You may have to complete a renewal to stay on the state’s Medicaid program. Don’t risk losing your Medicaid. Find out how to renew now.

How Do I Renew My Medicaid?

When it’s time to renew your Medicaid, you can quickly renew online. Sign in at yes.state.nm.us. Click on the Renew My Benefits button to complete your renewal application.

If your address or income has changed, report your changes at yes.state.nm.us. Or you can call the New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA) at 1-800-283-4465 (TTY: 711). If you do not update your information, you may lose your Medicaid coverage. You will have 60 days from your Medicaid end date to choose a new plan.

For more information about eligibility, visit the HCA website.

Learn about the New Mexico Medicaid program on the HCA website.

Look Out for Scams.

New Mexico will never ask you for money to renew or apply for Medicaid. Report scams to the HCA fraud report website. You can also report scams by calling the state fraud hotline at 1-800-228-4802.

What if I Don’t Qualify for Medicaid?

HCA will send your information to the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange if you no longer qualify for Medicaid. You may be able to get another health plan at little or no cost.
