When You Need Help
Behavioral health can affect overall health. Sometimes you may need help dealing with stress, grief, or depression. The type of help you might need depends on your personal situation. It could be counseling, treatment, in-patient or out-patient care. If you have questions about services available to you, call Member Services at 1-866-689-1523. Mental Health Hotlines
If you are having a mental health crisis, there is help. Call one of the hotlines below. They are 24/7. Calls are private and at no cost to you. Note: If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
New Mexico Crisis and Access Line (NMCAL)
NMCAL is available to New Mexicans during a mental health crisis. Use this state-wide toll-free phone line to access local help and resources. Mental health professionals are ready to help 24/7.
National Maternal Mental Health Hotline
Get support before, during and after pregnancy. This hotline is for those who feel overwhelmed or depressed. A trained counselor will listen and help.

Get Help to Quit Smoking, Vaping and More
BCBSNM has partnered with the New Mexico DOH to offer this program. Get help via phone, web, and text services. The program includes a custom Quit Plan and more to support you. This program is for teens (age 13+), families and adults.
Virtual PCP by Galileo®
Primary Care for Help with Nicotine Addiction and More
If you need routine care and help with issues as they come up, use Virtual PCP. Members can get referrals from their PCP for mental health care. They can also get meds to help with nicotine addiction.

Get Help Obtaining Health Care
This helpline is staffed with nurses who can assist you with getting care for various health concerns, access to vaccines, and more. The helpline also guides you to resources for mental health care.

Galileo is an independent company that has contracted with BCBSNM to provide care and disease management, health information content, member health platform and tools, mental health administration/network and wellness for members with coverage through BCBSNM.
