Glucose Meter Offer

Members with diabetes can get a blood glucose meter at no additional charge. This meter can help you monitor your blood glucose level.

Log in to your member account and use the drug finder tool to search which test strips for the meters offered are preferred brands. Coverage and payment levels for test strips may vary based on your prescription benefits.

Prime Therapeutics and You

We use Prime Therapeutics as our pharmacy benefit manager (PBM). Prime handles prescription claims, oversees pre-approvals, builds drugstore networks, and develops drug lists.

Not all BCBSNM members have Prime as their PBM. For example, Express Scripts®  is the pharmacy benefit manager for the New Mexico Public Schools Insurance Authority (NMPSIA), the New Mexico Retiree Health Care Authority (NMRHCA), and State of New Mexico plan members.

Medicare and Medicaid Prescription and Pharmacy Benefits

Medicare Prescription Drug (Part D)  – BCBSNM provides an easy choice for Medicare-approved prescription drug coverage

Medicare Advantage with Prescription Drug Plans (MAPD)  – These BCBSNM plans include benefits not covered by Medicare or most Medicare Supplement insurance plans, such as built-in prescription drug coverage
